The Most Crucial Lesson
One of the first major diversions from Santiago’s journey was the theft of his money in Tangier, which forced him into taking a menial job with the crystal merchant. There, Santiago learned many lessons on everything from the art of business to the art of patience. Of all these, which lessons were the most crucial to the pursuit of his Personal Legend?

There were many lessons Santiago learned.I thought the entusiasm was the most important one.Everything was hard to get start. If Santiago didn't have passion, he could't start his jornel. With the entusiasim, he could have power to pursue his dream and feel fearless.
The boy learned the art of patience during this one year. He believed the beginner’s luck, which the wise king told him before. Then, he made good use of it to persuade the shopkeeper to do some new changes. He also became a wise boy who would not become haste or want to realize his dream quickly. He learned that waiting is not a bad thing.
I think the most crucial the boy learned to the pursuit of his Personal Legend is the art of patience. There must be lots of depressions and frustrations on the way to his own Personal Legend so that he must had the art of the patience to overcome those frustrations.
He was accustomed to his new environment. His mind had changed . He used a positive way to face his life and he think that it's not a strange place, but a new place for him.
He learned to be patient before he fulfill his dream. Suffering some difficulties- His money was stolen by someone he trusted at first but finally betrayed him. He broke all at sudden and had to restart. Getting a job in the crystal store was to get some money he needed during the trip to find his Personal Legend. If he has no patience at all, he will be defeated by frustrations along the way to his dream. Though the trial is a hardship for him, it is necessary.
After chatting with the merchant , he realizes that achieving the dream needs to take action immediately .If you lose the chance, your dream may just emerge in your mind.Because we don't know what will confine ourlives in the future. And he also knows that he is free to do anything he wants. It's because that he take action immediately. All he has to do is fullfill his dream and he doesn't need to worry about others things.
He understood the truth that if a person has his own special dream, what he should now is try his best to realize his dream as soon as he can, because one may lose the opportunity to attain his goal in his life. Besides, after losing money and working at the store, he gained his confidence and courage to overcome all his problems or difficulties and, most of all, to create his Personal Legend.
What the boy learned from the boss is to wait for the omens and just follow them no matter what happened. The boss used to have a dream to visit Mecca;however, the older he became, the more hesitate he made up his mind to take the action. There was something waiting for no man,so the boy was encouraged to fulfill his dream-to find the treasure in pyramids.Coming back as a shepherd is something available anytime,so the most crucial mission for the boy in that time is achieve his own Personal Legend.
i think the year in Tangier he had learned the most was the art of patience and he knew the power of practice.Though he may think of earning money in the very beginning , he finally knew waht is more valuable than money was the experient he had taken in the few year.he used the latest to ceate the infinate.i think maybe just this kind of understanding to let the guy to persue his dream more brave and the year in Tangier may also bring him the courage to go on traveling.
Santiago learned about the principle of favorability or beginner's luck that the old king had told him. Sometimes we have to take adventage when luck is on our side, and do as much to help it as it's doing to help us. Now Santiago could use the money he earned from the crystal shop to accomplish his journey.
He learned that the world has a soul, and that whoever understand that soul can also understand the language of things. He also learned that many alchemists realized their Personal Legends, and wound up discovering the Soul of the World, and Philosopher's stone, and the Elixir of Life. These two things mentioned above ispired him to realize that universal things are so simple that they could be written on the surface of an emerald, and that all things are the manifestation of one thing only.
The most important lesson he learned during that year was that people should take advantage when luck is on their side or it can be called a beginners' luck.He said that to the merchant and it's vital for him to persuade him dream because he could realize that he wanted to go on his travel to Egypt in his deep heart. Therefore,he keeped working hard and then he could leave the shop and started his adventure to Egypt as soon as possible.
Maybe some people will afraid of realizing their dreams like the boss of crystal shop. But if we really know what we want,we should be brave to pursue it or we will regret for all life.Only we try to overcome our obstacle in our heart can we understand the language in the world and fulfill the dream.
He worked at the crystal merchant for almost one year and during this year he heard the merchant say about his dreams while he was young, since he did not enough courage, he dared not to go. Santiago then decided to use his passion to conquer the difficulties he may face through the way. With passion, he could keep on his journey and face any difficulty he met.
I think the most crucial lesson he learned during the year he stay in Tangier is patience. Ever successful person in the history has one common point that is patience. Without patience you wouldn't get through the hardest part of dream. Beause ever goal you want reach wounldn't be very easy to be done. There must be a lot of frustrations and the man who know the lesson of patience is the one who can defeat evrey setback. That's why I think patience is the most crucial lesson he has learned.
Through the talks with the merchant and allthe works he had done, he realized that he had learned much more than the time as a shepherd being with his sheeps. He had always wanted to travel and he realized that not all of the people could have the some dream as he does, for many reasons.
The merchant told Santiago that his dream was to go to Mecca and he kept thinking about going there for thousands times, but he always told himself that he had to have more money then he could get there. However, as the time went by, the merchant didn’t think he had had enough money so he was still at his hometown, not going to anywhere. Santiago told him the he had enough money to go to Mecca now, but the merchant didn’t seem to move because he didn’t like to change the life he had. Hearing this, Santiago became desirable to get the pyramids. Because Santiago thought the merchant was poor and Santiago didn’t want to regret for he didn’t achieve his dream as the merchant did. So, he decided to go on his trip to the pyramids.
He learn a lesson from his boss.
His boss keep dream in mind but the boy konw what he want is fullfill his own dream. He could't be the one like the baker or his boss. He had a lot of money after working hard for whole year.He wondered which should he do the first. But the lesson learned from the people he had meet let he realizes if he want to go back be a shepherd, is could be anytime. But he doesn't have his own personal legend. The other lesson is confident after he conqure all the difficult including learned the Arabic in Tangie. It can help him accomplish travel to find treasure by himself
After communication with the merchant, he known the merchant used to want to visit the holy city of Mecca. And the merchant started to earn the money in the shop, but he feared if his dream is realized, he would have no reason to go on living.
Santiago learned that no matter the difficulty he would face, do not stop dreaming, and looking for the personal Legend. He would find the treasure he wanted finally.
I think Santiago learned the art of patience because he was overcome the financial problem and persist to stay at there.Besides, he was understanding that the omen would bring him to the right way and help him finished it.So, everytime the omen came and he must grasp it and did not given up.Muslim is a pilgrimage and the crytal merchant had given up the change to Mecca, it is a bad example for Santiago. So, he decided to pursue his dreams and not liked the merchant. He also learned the skill of travelling in other country and made him dared to pursue his dream.
Because Santiago’s money was stolen, he had nothing but something useless. He insisted on his goal and dream, and he didn’t surrender to the reality. I think the most important lesson he learned was patience. He kept earning money patiently after he lost all his money for the dream he wanted to get. If someone wants to achieve his or her goal, the patience is the most important thing. Furthermore, he never gave up finding the treasure. It means not only the patience but the great spirit he had.
In my point of view, the most important part in Santiago is his enthusiasm toward his own "Personal Legend".He spent for nearly one year to stay at the crystal store to earn enough money with his wisdom and patience. And I think that will make his pursit more meaningful not because the treasure but his learning during the journy.
As far as I am concerned, the most crucial lesson to the pursuit of Santiago's dreams is the art of patience. During the conversation between Santiago and the merchant, the merchant told about Muslim law and his personal experience. Santiago realized that even a person has passion for fulfilling dreams, he or her need much patience to reach their Personal Legend. Although the person will face some difficulties on the path of reaching their own dreams, he or she will finally achieve them as long as having patience.
Everyone has a dream. There are few people making their dream come true. They always put off and put off. And in Tangier the most important lesson Santiago learned from the merchant is to move on to realize his dream. Whatever difficulties in front of him, he should try to solve it and keep moving on. Just don’t stay there.
Throughout the time that he was trying to improve things at the shop, he learned the language of enthusiasm, of things accomplished with love and purpose. Though his enthusiasm was for earning more money so that he could return home and be a shepherd, it turned out that he realized it was the very force when it comes to achieving his dream, where his enthusiasm truely belonged to, which was to find his treasure. The one year coul be regarded as a turning point for him to assure much firmly of his personal legend.
At the beginning, he always made his fear of changing reasonable and even made an excuse for his weakness. However, after the year, he had more courage and patience to pursue his dream. He didn’t want to be another crystal merchant who could only dream instead of fulfilling it.
In my opinion, I think the art of business is the most important to him. By spending his time in the crystal store, he earned experience of trying new things. he found joy during the process and learnt the language of enthusiasm. It changed his thought from negative to positive, and this changes helped him to achieve his dream.
If one wants to start or achieve their own Personal Legend, they must have more patience, passion and feel fearless. I think that is the most crucial to success. Because sometime we need more patience, sometime we need more passion, sometime we must be more fearless to pursuit our dream, it all depends.
because he had a hard patience, so could lean more things becide being a shepherd. he had learned some imporant things, like how to deal in crystal, and about the language without words and about omens.
It's always not easy to start to do something. Therefore, the most crucial lesson for the boy is that he learn the language of enthusiasm from the crystal shop, even though he planned to use the money he had earned to return to his country at first. However, he finally realized that he should stick to pursue his dream of treasure. If he hadn't have passion, he would not have changed his mind.
