When he talked about the pilgrimage to Mecca, the crystal merchant argued that having a dream is more important than fulfilling it, which is what Santiago was trying to do. Do you agree with Santiago’s rationale or the crystal merchant’s?
I think if someone has a dream, it would be sad not to fullfill it, and just keep dreaming about it. After the dream is fullfilled, another dream would come out. There is no end of dreaming. In my opinion, the thought that losing hope after dreams fullfilled could hardly happen.
I want to make my dream come true when I have enough time now. I think “now” is the right time to pursuit my dreams without consider too much bothering problems. We do not need to worry about the terrible elements of real life when we were young. After entering the society, we might face lots of problems and abandon our dreams.
I prefer to Santiago's thought. If a dream just happen in mind , it may always stay there. You just keep on imagining ,not to fullfill, everyone can do it any way.Though achieving a dream is a hard work, the process is worthwhile in your whole life.Whether you success or not,it's your own unique life memory.
I agree the boy's attitude. Because the dream could push us to do anything,it doesn't mean if you realized it you will lose motive for life.We can always find another dream after accompolish it. We couldn't born with one goal. We have all kind of dreams in different period of life. We have to conquer all of them step by step, not just keep them in mind.
I agree with Santiago's attitude toward dreams. I think that it is dreams that keep us going in our lives. Certainly we should live with dreams, which motivate us to pursue them, to realise them, making us live with some purpose rather than idling away our precious short life time. Moreover, after fullfilling a dream, we should go on with next one repeatedly. After all, life is living with challenges and adventures, and that makes it all the more colourful and meaningful.
I like the boy's perspective toward dream because if the dream has not been pursued ,one may feel regret when there is no chance to come close to it.Moreover, during the process of moving forward to the dream, one can learn more and desire more.Hence, what the boss worried about is silly, and it is just an excuse to dodge the difficulties he may encounter on the way.As for me,self-achievement is the most important thing in one's life.
I like the crystal merchat's opinion. Because I think people must have a dream to live for and if you don't that means you are just alive until one day you will die. But I have some idea different from his that is I can't just keep my deam in my mind and worship it. What I do everyday is to try my beat to reach that goal. And when the time I success, I would set another dream. So I won't lose my faith and I also don't have to worry about my dream would come true.
I agree with Santiago's rarionale. I don't like to daydream and do nothing else. If I dream of something, I will make efforts to realize it rather than make it into fantasy. It is not realistic to only set up your dreams without put them into action. Dreams can be people's progress under a condition that you pursue and fulfill them.
I'm on Santiago's side. Since the dream every indivisual holds on to is the purpose of being, it's how it should be that one fulfills the dream. There's no need to consider life would lost its goal once the dream was accomplished. That worry is useless, life still goes on after accomplishing the dream. And we'll find new purpose in life. Just like we students dream of entering a nice college. We didn't feel lost after entering college, did we? There always came new goals and dreams for us to chase.
I think that concept is nagetive. When we have a dream, we have to fulfill it. If we don't do it when we have the ability, then you will regret that i should have finish it. That is the most regretful memories that you watch you days are coming but leave with regret.
I would prefer Santiago's idea. I think life is short,so you don't need to limit yourself pursue something. If you never give your drem a try,it would be hard to say whether the dream can come true or not.By the way,the process to fullfill your dream is more important than the result.Though you fail in the end,at least, you know you had once gaven the dream a try.
I think you should let your life shine.Don't just keep your dream in your mind and never do it.If I do the thing lke the crystal merchant,I think I would feel regret when I was old.
I think we should establish the positive attitude toward our dreams.Dream is the goal along the life road and leads us the direction when we are lost.We can't give it up because we will lose the meaning of life if we do that.We should make efforts to accomplish our dreams and create the challenging life by ourselves. That is the reason why dream exists.Pursuing the dream makes us have hope.
As far as I am concerned, I absolutely approve of Santiago. Once we have dreams, it can becomes a inspiration and energy to make ourselves work harder in order to fuifill them. We should not be afraid that it is very difficult to realize dreams. Moreover, dreams are the strength to support you to conquer difficulties and suffering. Therefore, as a active person, we should not give up pursuing our dreams.
I agree with the thought of the merchant. If I dream of something or somethere I want to go,it would become the motive power for my life.Actually, not everyone is able to fulfill their dreams. There are many factors such as economic pressure or limited by our family. Thus,we might keep our dreams in our heart, and imagine whatever we want.Maybe we could be regarded as a coward because we don't have courage to persuade them. However, they don't know why we don't want to do is because we are unwilling to exchange despair if we could achieve it in the end.
I am agree with the thought of the merchant because i believe that everyone has some of the dream which can not be fulfilled. Someone says that having the dream is most beautiful. If we really achieve it, maybe, it is not perfect until what you think and damaged the image of perfect in your heart. In this practical world, i think we need the dream to keep us alive. we can imagine but can not be believed it.
my senior teacher had ever told me that there are many steps should be accomplished and whenever you finish one among them , it did not mean the end of your life but another kind of beginnimg, and thus i thoght my teacher's idea carefully after she said that. i always think if we do not dream any more in our life and it will become we lose the meaning of life. there is always dreams accompanying with you and you may be have the power to goal whatever you want and whatever you expece.i do not think there are any funtion to distinguish to dream or fulfillng it because they both can live in my life to supporting what i want.
I agree with Santiago’s rationale. I think everyone will have some dreams in his/her mind on matter what kind of dream it is, but we can’t just keep our dreams in mind for whole life and never try to fulfill them. Now that we have dreams, we should do our best to fulfill them or we might regret later. And it doesn’t matter whether you achieve your goal or not, the most important thing is that the process that you have tried.
In my opinion, I would like to fulfill all my dreams in my whole life. Even if some of them are difficult to achieve, I will try my best to reach them. I like Sanitago's attitude about making his own Personal Legend come true. If I just dream them instead of fulfilling them,I may feel regret in the future. Therefore, I would learn as much knowledge as possible so as to reach my goal and dreams.
I agree Santiago’s thought that we should try our best to fulfill our dream. It may be true that I will be disappointed when I realize it. However if I don’t fulfill it, how will I know that I will be disappointed? Maybe I will be content. And I don’t want to make a chance to make me regret. It is important that everyone has a dream. But to me, it is much more important that we fulfill our dream.
If the dream can be fulfilled in some day in the future, I agreed Santiago's attitude more than merchant’s. Because if we can do something but we don’t do it well, we may regret that in some day. However, if the thing I want to do but I am absolutely unable to do, I may just make the dream more than do something will never be achieve. I think the most important thing we have to do is doing what we can do now as hard as we can.
For me, always having a dream in my life is beautiful and I don't want to end it. Therefore, I agree with the crystal merchant's idea. I think people would be disappointed after they have fulfill their dream. They will have no force in their life and that's why I prefer just to dream about it.
I agree with Santiago’s rationale I would like to fulfill my dreams because I want to feel the touch when I finally achieve my dreams after being through lots of frustrations and difficulties. I always think if you have a dream, you should try your best to achieve it, or the dream will always be a dream. You should realize your dream then your life will not end of nothing, but regret. I have a dream and I will do everything to make it come true, because I really want to feel the touch when I get what I want. I think it will be a very good experience during the process to make the dream come true and it will also help one grow.
I agree with Santiago’s rationale more than the merchant’s. I think having a dream is very important. It makes me have courage to face the reality and every obstacle. Because I have a goal, I will do everything much harder. However, I would not like the merchant. I will want to fulfill my dream. After fulfilling it, I will remember what I’ve done before fulfilling it. I will feel satisfied and courageous and be proud of myself enormously. And then, I will set up another dream for myself and keep pursuing it.
I agree with Santiago. I think it's meaningless only to dream a dream and never set off to fulfill it. In my opinion, dreams are something that we have to accomplish or at least try hard to accomplish. Besides, if we finished a dream, we could still had another so that the life would be meaningful. We are born to persue dreams so I think the attitude of the boy is good.
I agree with the crystal merchant’s, I prefer just to dream about it. Because I think if I have already achieved my own dream, I am afraid that the rest of my life will be boring. In addition, I am very happy that I can think of it every day. To me, just image of one thing is more important than accomplish it and live as one who has not a dream.
I agree the attitude of Santiago.I think we should carry out our dream instead of letting it retain in our mind. Also,I can't understand why the crystal merchant said that if he goes to Mecca,he will have no support to keep living. What he did was preventing himself from hurt and disappointment. The process of realizing the dream can be regarded as a pursuit of oursalves. And it can be considered to be a responsibility to our life.
I agree with Santiago. You may afraid of the hardships of pursuing dreams and the end of the journey at the beginning. However, if you don’t even try to fulfill it, you must regret when you had no more opportunities to pursue dreams. You can only live in your beautiful illusion because you’re eluding your own thoughts and emotions.
Everyone must have their own dreams. Sometimes it might be hard to realize your dreams. However, if they afraid to try it, the dream would be nothing but just imagination. It's a sad thing to see. I don't quite understand the merchant's thought. If people fulfill their dreams, nobody says they couldn't dream another! I think I'd be happy to realize and pursue my dreams. After all, to dream a big dream is not a bad thing, is it?

i agree santiago's rationale, because our dreams are unlimited. when we get on our expectation, then next expectation would appear in your brain.
